S PETRVS APOSTOLVS / RO-MA St. Peter seated facing, wearing tiara, raising his right hand in benediction and holding two keys in his left. Berman 1038. Muntoni 7. Beautifully toned. File marks at the edge, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket), received as a birthday present in 1979 and privately acquired from Hess in June 1979.
